  • How does one get a phd scholarship with a pass in msc degree?

I unfortunately got a pass in my msc degree at manchester. I want to do a phd but I have heard it is impossible to be considered for a scholarship. Can anyone help with advice? I want to do a phd in the uk but I will also consider australia or new zealand.

Most scholarship providers will ask for a distinction but, in some cases, merit in your master’s.

With a pass, getting a PhD scholarship won’t be easy.

Since you did your masters in the UK, you might have a chance, but that will depend on your undergraduate degree performance (if you attained at least a 2.1) and the strength of your PhD research proposal.

If certain mitigating circumstances affected your performance (e.g. health challenges), you can include this in some scholarship applications along with evidence.
